Clinics & Services

In addition to GP consultations the practice offers a wide range of clinics and healthcare services:

Well Baby Clinic

Held each Wednesday between 1.30 - 3pm, you can get you baby weighed and a Health Visitor is available to discuss any concerns that you may have.

Child Immunisation Clinic

Appointments will be arranged by the Health Board for your child and you will be notified by postcard.

If you are unable to attend and need to change the appointment, please contact 0141 211 6142.

Chronic Disease Clinics

If you have a condition such as high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, asthma or a chronic lung condition, thyroid problems or epilepsy, you will be offered an annual review. The practice also provides care for diabetic patients; this includes assessment by a podiatrist, a dietician as well as our practice nurse and one of the doctors at our monthly Diabetic Clinic.

Drug/Alcohol Problems

The practice runs a methadone substitution programme for patients with drug addiction. We also provide support and medication for patients with alcohol problems.

Flu/Covid 19/Pneumococcal immunisation clinic

The Health Board provides an annual flu immunisation programme to protect people from the age of 2 up until school attendance, those over 65 and those with chronic health problems, if you qualify you will also be offered vaccination against Covid 19.   Patients over 65 will also be offered immunisation against the pneumococcus bacterium (lasts lifelong in most people) and/or Pneumococcal.

Shingles Vaccination

The Health Board operates the Shingles immunisation programme.  Patient aged between 71 and 79 years are eligible of this.

Family Planning Clinic

Contraceptive advice and sexual health advice is available from the doctors or our practice nurse Elaine. The doctors also offer pre-conceptual advice.

Ante-natal Clinic

The midwives are located at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Our doctors provide advice and help for pregnant women and those planning a pregnancy during a routine appointment.

Travel Vaccination Clinic

If you require vaccinations for travel reasons or otherwise, please make an appointment to discuss these with our practice nurse Elaine Mawer. Our nurse has access to the latest information concerning travel vaccinations. She will be able to refer you to the vaccination service, as we do not vaccinate patients on the premises.   Childhood and other adult vaccinations are also available as required.
