Test Results

Your doctor or the practice nurse will contact you only if your test results are clinically abnormal. If you wish to discuss your test results please make an appointment with your doctor.

Results for blood can take up to 4 weeks, urine tests usually take 1 to 2 days, 2-3 weeks for cervical smears and mammograms.  X-ray results are usually available to the doctor within 7 to 10 days. Some special tests may take longer. 

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
